Winery Wednesday- But really Anniversary Friday! -Hark Vineyards

October is a beautiful month to get married, and then celebrate the day each year. This year we celebrated that day for the 27th time. We were lucky enough to have Eldest visiting for the weekend too!

Huz was working the night of our anniversary, so we ventured forth in the afternoon instead. The Random Winery Generator steered us to Hark Vineyards in Earlysville.

Another beautiful setting, surrounded by vines with close by mountain views. The tasting room is a temporary trailer, set in front of a derelict farmhouse- the kind most folks look at and think "knockdown" and I think "Oooooooh! That looks fun to fix!"

Halloween fun in the vineyard.

The server was chatty and friendly, as were the other patrons there for some wine and a gorgeous day. We bought a tasting- all 7 wines for $20, and he gave all three of us a glass. This is ideal, as the pour is generous, and allowed us to taste all the wines, and then choose favorites.

All three of us liked the 2019 Fuse, a blend of mostly Vidal Blanc, with a little Petit Manseng.

Of the reds, the 2019 Cab Franc was the favorite.

Eldest and I bought a bottle of the 2019 Fuse. She and I had a glass and brought the rest home.
